Tales From Home

Peanut
Hi! I'm writing to tell you about my little Peanut. (I kept her name the same). I adopted her May 2006. Other than some dental issues that we're taking care of now, Peanut is a super happy and affectionate kitty. She's turning into a real lap cat and she's quite talkative! She's a sweetheart who is always right at the door waiting for me when I come home. I'm so glad I brought her into my life. Lauren
Murray
Hi there! I have re-named my few feline friend "Murray". He is adjusting well to my place and is a very lovable cat. Murray and I are excited to be together now. Thank you very much. Anthony
Tinsel
Hello! Tinsel is doing well and enjoying her new home. She is also getting along well with Gamera, our other cat. Tinsel's favorite places to sleep include our kitchen table, window sills, and behind our computer monitors. When she's not asleep, she likes to chase after toy mice while she slips and slides on our wood floor. Bill and Krystle
Will
Hello! Will, formerly from the "Will & Grace" clan, is doing great! He is the biggest sweetheart you'd ever want to know. He absolutely loves attention & he always makes his presence known—he is very vocal! He gets along great with his 3 other kitty buddies. You can't help but love Will, he is so sweet!!! Thank you, Harmony House!
Echo
It's been just a little over a month now, but I wanted to let you know that Lily Potter (now named Echo) is doing great. She and Murdock, our other kitten, are now best friends! They love to wrestle, get into mischief, and cuddle. Echo's favorite activities include sitting on the windowsill, curling up on our feet at night time, giving Murdock baths (he's a sloppy eater), chasing laser beams, and pouncing on Murdock when he's running around under the covers. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to adopt such a friendly and lovable cat. We can't imagine our family without her!
Abraham
A little while ago we adopted old Abraham from you. He is absolutely fabulous and completes the household. As the Elder States-cat, he presides over the household—playing with string and balls, regulating gooshy food times, and maintaining sleeping times. He is such a sweet old kitty, with his silent meow and purr that makes the glasses in the cupboard rattle. He bonks his head into us to be petted. He loves sleeping on the sunporch and sleeping with his other kitty friend(s) here—especially Yosarian (nee Attatash). Abraham is gaining weight and has such wonderful fur. He's also incredibly active for an old guy (about 13 years now!) that sometimes we think he's still a kitten. Thanks a lot again for your good work!
Nadia
I just adopted Nadia (formerly Lady Elsinore), but I don't know how I ever managed without her! She's been very sweet and friendly, and hasn't had any trouble adapting to her new home, but like any cat still has her favorite hiding place. I was surprised to come home one day and see a strange bulge under the covers, although I knew I'd made the bed—there she was, minding her own business and almost escaping detection! Thanks for a great new friend!
Maya
My name is Taryn and I adopted the black long-haired cat named Mahalia, now named Maya. I just wanted to let you know she is a wonderful part of my life. She is an incredibly beautiful and adorable cat. She is friendly and very playful. I wanted to thank the staff at Harmony House for giving me the opportunity to adopt such a wonderful little being.
Hemma & Potter
We just wanted to write you a quick note of pure thanks and joy for giving us the pleasure of having our two babies. We have now named Kubrick, Potter, and Carina is now Hemma. They are so happy and have so much fun. I have attached a picture for you so you can see how wonderful they are doing. Thank you again for everything!
Stella & Luna
I wanted to send you all a few new pictures of Lilah and Carnivale, who are doing very well in their new home. The girls were shy when they arrived but Carnivale (now Luna) helped her bashful sister Lilah (now Stella) investigate their new home. I lovingly call Luna "baby" because of her loving demeanor, and Stella "piggy" because of her ability to devour a small plate of wet food as fast as she can and then try to take over her sister's plate! Luna's favorite toy is a glittery ball which she loves to play fetch with, especially right after I have gone to bed. She brings it right up to my head! They like to cuddle, wrestle and gallop together throughout my apartment, and they love their new cat condo. Thanks for taking such good care of Lilah and Carnivale at The Harmony House for Cats! All of the cats are very lucky to have such wonderful caregivers!
